LOVE IT!!! Yeah for not having to follow the "rules" of art and making whatever the fuck you want to make!!! So happy for you!!!
I've noticed this a lot personally too! I want to make "craft" pieces instead of "art" pieces.

Let's hear it for breakthroughs!!!!!

I vividly remember that moment of realizing there was no teacher to please, just myself. The new painting great.

The best rule is to please yourself FIRST when it comes to creating and exploring your art! HAPPY PPF!

Its brilliant to see how happy your are. It seems as if you had been locked in a cage and now you are free.......fabulous. This is a terrific painting, so dynamic. Happy PPF and enjoy the weekend, Annette x

It's bursting with energy - go girl go!

What do art teachers know? When I did A level (that's what we take in the UK 16-18), my teacher made me paint landscapes over and over in oils - even though I wanted to try different stuff. "It's what will come up in the exam" he said. Did it hell! Cue 20 year disillusionment....

I totally love all the spark and buzz that bursts out of your art. What are your next steps now you have finished college?

Thank you for sharing this vid I really felt your energy & excitement. I love the charcoal stuff weird and out there (fantasy)like But Yeh your not at school any more and I find it annoying that they kept you away from certain media. However it gave you focus and with all that you have learnt you can express this with anything...... mix media! You rock girl and thank you for a peek in to your crazy young world love a pint begginer in her 40s (it's never to late!)

Love Dawn xx

It is such great joy to share your break through. The new painting got a very strong expressiveness of its own.

It is also fantastic to see someone who's breaking the "rules" and becoming her own person. Well Done! Keep going ... you're definitely on the right track! ;)

Looking forward to see the finished painting.

Yay!! So happy for your breathrough!! I love love LOVE those oil paintings, though, and they seem just perfect to me. However, I totally get it, when something you're working on just doesn't have the effect you're wanting it to have. It's totally on a feeling level. I'm so glad you said "F U" to the notion of acrylics being less than oils. Pshaw!

It was awesome seeing you live! xoxo Serena

Just as it is good to put a face to a name, it´s brilliant to be able to put a voice to a face. Now I can read your posts with your voice and it gives them yet another dimension. :D
I don´t have a formal art training so I never knew what I was NOT supposed to do, which I guess is not that bad. ;)
I also want to thank you for all the music links you have been providing, it is widening my musical experience.

You are too freakin' cute! You are the girl I wanted to grow up to be...haha!

Fast forward 15 (ahem, or so) years...this art school drop-out is finally chasing the dream...heehee!

I'm loving your work and look forward to seeing more! Thanks for the reality check that everyone gets blocks now and then....and that we can get over them, too!! You rock ;P
