Turquoise Parlor: Before and After!

Hello Kittens!*
I've been thoroughly enjoying a much needed bout of hibernation. Some art journaling here, a few hot baths there and a whole lotta nesting! My latest project is a newly vacant room in the apartment-- our roommate moved on to live with his muffin so I was given the challenge of de-boy-afying a Dude Pad of Epic Proportions. Here's what I had to work with:

Before...

During...With a lot of help from my sister Anna and my Mum here is the Boho Makeover After!

I'm into Aqua at the moment--it's cool and refreshing but still a bit zippy! I wanted something that would make all the detail molding and the wonky shape of the room pop.

"Bast" found a home on the wall of the new reading nook...

I found some funky rock t-shirts and vintage tea towels at our local St. Vinnies for pennies to make into sweet-practially-free-pillow shams...

And a custom pulp painting as a focal point on the far wall...

The finishing touch will be an Uber Cleanse of the space this Wednesday--the whole apartment in fact. With resolutions being made, habits being practiced and fresh outlooks flourishing, a January new moon feels like the perfect time to sweep out the stale and stir up the stimulating! Will you be cleansing this new moon? Let's do it together!

Until Next Time--
Much Joy and Merry Making!

Your space is beautiful. That aqua is gorgeous. I repainted my whole home over the summer. It gave my place a new healing and creative vibe.

It's beautiful, and I love all your little personalized touches.

I wish I lived closer, I'd come over and hang out!!
